So this is my new Naruto OC that I adopted from zombie-adoptables with tremendous help from Deidarakitty!! Thank you for all your help and advice bby nwn <3 Here's some basic info which is subject to change since I'm still developing her~ So there's a lot more than just the following, this just scratches the surface. She's quite different from Shirahime which I like. nwn

Personality: Kimiko is a very serious and studious young woman who can come across as somewhat cold and distant to others. As a child she found it very hard to relate to those her own age and instead chose to be very independent, making her quite socially inept. She is intelligent and clear headed, making her an ideal shinobi, however as she grew older Kimiko realized that shutting others out would simply resort to feeling lonely and empty, thus causing her to shed her former ideals and let people in, with the help of her teammates. As a young adult she is much more gentle and kind, though her goal to be more friendly and open is always a struggle.

Abilities: Kimiko primarily uses Taijutsu on the battle field, having a substantial amount of strength from training her body incredibly hard. Her strategy has always been to fight up front with help from her summon Daiki, a porcupine who can assist her by shooting (sometimes poisonous) needles at the enemy. Her natural affinity is Earth release.

Story Synopsis: Kimiko was born in Konoha to a civilian mother and a shinobi father. Her father is a kind hearted yet strict man who wanted his daughter to really excel in everything she did. As a child Kimiko absolutely adored her father and would do everything she could to please him- she studied incredibly hard and was deemed quite intelligent however her social skills were a bit lacking since she was always a tad too serious even as a young girl and found it hard to relate to people her own age. While not stuck up or conceited, Kimiko simply recognized the fact that she would rather study or read than play outside with other children. Her fellow classmates found her intimidating and a bit dry. Her best friend was her father, the two forming a very close relationship. She loved her mother too of course, and the two would bond over certain activities such as cooking, as her mother owns and runs a small bakery. Her childhood is a fairly calm one, with a huge turning point being when she becomes a genin.

Kimiko graduated from the academy at age 11, her teammates being Kenji Himura and Minoru Ito, two friendly boys who had always found her very strange, and the two were dismayed to be put on the same team as her. The two boys hit it off easily but tended to leave Kimiko out of everything which suited her just fine, being very indifferent to the two. The 3 had mediocre at best teamwork in the beginning, and were under constant scrutiny from their sensei, though he tried his best to give them the best environment as possible to be friendly with each other. During training sessions Kimiko, thinking she was being helpful as she has a very good self-assessment, would point out the boys' flaws constantly, which annoyed Kenji the most as he is a very prideful person. Tension was always very high between the 3, one incident being Kenji having had enough of her words and shot some nasty comments her way which caused her to re-evaluate her interactions with people, not really knowing what was and was not acceptable to say. After working very hard on their teamwork and opening up a bit more, the three begin to get on fairly pleasant terms with each other, this helping their missions go much more smoothly. A critical point in Kimiko's way of thinking was during a mission in which she was cut very badly on one of her arms, and Minoru, being a medical ninja, rushed to her aid. Although very prideful at first and unwilling to receive help, Minoru's kindness throws her off guard, confused as to why he would want to help her since she never showed much sympathy for them. Minoru's firm response in that she is his teammate and that he would always be there to help her truly touches her and she begins to see that no one can truly go it alone, and that receiving help is not a form of weakness. In the future when she finds herself beginning to close off again, she reminds herself of this moment.

After this Kimiko is determined to change herself into a more compassionate person, realizing how truly lonely she is as she only really has her parents. She seeks help from her teammates, and though Kenji is skeptical at first (still being wary of her), but upon seeing her resolve reluctantly agrees. The boys try to show Kimiko what it is to care for others, and through their guidance and friendship, she is slowly able to grow as a person and become less harsh and critical, with much more caring qualities. The three eventually forge a deep friendship which lasts through their adulthood.

So that's all I have so far, I still have a ways to go but I'm excited for it~
